10 Current Top WWE Talents Who Are Missing A Truly Classic Match
It takes a lot for a match to be considered an 'instant classic'.
The term 'instant classic' is thrown around in modern wrestling as often as the label 'world class' is when talking about the current crop of footballing sensations.
However, it takes an awful lot more than the WWE Universe mindlessly chanting 'FIGHT FOREVER' for a clash to be established as an all-time great. There has to be stakes, serious drama and a level of in-ring storytelling which you simply don't find every single week on Monday Night Raw.
So, with that being said, it's not a surprise that it can take some time before a talent can sit back and honestly claim that they've been a part of one of the most memorable matches in WWE history.
In fact, some stars that have been plying their trade in Vince McMahon's ring for well over a decade are still yet to produce a match which can be classed as a must-watch for any old or new WWE fans.
They still have time, of course, and hopefully a few of the entrants on this list can prove your writer wrong in the coming months. Yet, as things stand, these ten current top WWE talents are still missing a truly classic match.
10. Bayley
It must be said that Bayley's recent run as SmackDown Women's Champion has been nothing short of brilliant.
She's comfortably evolved into a piece of sh*t heel and her enjoyable work in the ring has been matched by her seriously improved game on the microphone.
However, even with her recent run proving that there's still life in the former 'Hugger', Bayley has yet to produce a match on the main roster to rival her stellar work on NXT with the likes of Sasha Banks and Asuka.
It's not all Bayley's fault, as she has often been thrown into terrible programmes and wasn't given the chance to develop into anything more than a smiley goof during her babyface run. Yet, there have been moments in recent times when it's looked like she could be about to add another historic bout to her collection, only for her to stumble to a Bayley vs. Ember Moon at SummerSlam 2019 performance instead.
If ever there was a potential upcoming feud which could finally land Bayley her first truly classic match on the main roster, her long awaited implosion with long time buddy Banks could be (and definitely should be!) the one to do it.
