Matt Striker is another wrestler who had substantial success as an academic before moving into wrestling. He holds a Master's degree in educational psychology, and put it to work after graduation by becoming a high school teacher, first as a substitute, then full-time. While teaching, he would use vacation time and weekends to wrestle part-time.

Striker was a child actor, appearing in several movies in small roles. He also has been on a Fox reality show called Labor of Love.

The Modern Marvel has found considerable success as a commentator, including for several WWE products, Lucha Underground, NJPW, and AAA. His commentary for WWE was actually worked into several storylines before he departed in 2013.

Currently, Matt is signed to a role on Fite TV analyzing different combat sport events as well as hosting several shows on Sirius Radio analyzing and commenting on fantasy sports information and sports betting.

On top of these achievements, Striker also played semi-professional hockey and is accomplished in jiu-jitsu and boxing.

Definitely a well-rounded dude.
