There are so many potential challengers for Brodie Lee's TNT title, these are the most appealing.

Brodie Lee squashing Cody was monumental. After Lee’s loss to Jon Moxley at Double or Nothing, he seemed on the precipice of something great, getting to have a moment that would cement him as a heel on AEW television. His decimation of AEW’s Executive Vice President was more than anyone could have expected.

With his victory, Brodie Lee is the new TNT champion and due to the fact that Cody will apparently be off of television for the near future, there are plenty of opponents to keep Lee occupied with great matches over the next few months.

Brodie Lee is one of the most versatile wrestlers in the entire company, a big man capable of brutal hoss fights and flinging around smaller opponents with reckless abandon, a sadistic brawler who can take barbed wire bumps and bleed for his art, a master technician able to perfectly structure a match for his opponent’s strengths.

All of these attributes make him a perfect heel champion to elevate the workers around him, and these are some of the dream matches that could make his reign special. Not all of them will be workrate classics, but all would make AEW worth watching.

10. Billy Gunn

Sometimes we forget that a defining star of the Attitude Era is actually signed to AEW. Given his status as a recognisable legend, it's surprising that AEW hasn't featured him more on TV. It's been mainly AEW Dark appearances for Billy since he's been signed and it's time he has a standout match on Dynamite. Working in a high profile contest with the TNT champion would be the perfect way to bring him on, and would elevate Lee's reign if he decimated the veteran.

While Gunn's never been the most versatile in ring, there's a lot of affection for him, particularly with the older fans of AEW. He's a recognisable name that could easily help encourage former wrestling fans to check out his episode of Dynamite, especially if the match is well hyped ahead of time. He's a solid worker even in his 50s and could take a few major bumps to put Lee over as a threat, while being able to get fans behind him as a legendary babyface.

Since AEW is focused on incorporating legends of the past in a way that keeps them relevant and beneficial to younger stars, using Gunn to strongly establish Brodie Lee would be a tremendous decision.
