10 Dumbest Storylines In WWE History

9. A Tale Of Two Papis

When two longtime fan favourites go to war, it only makes sense that one of them be the father of the other one’s child.

After his WWE title reign came to an end in '04, technical wizard Eddie Guerrero found himself falling back into the midcard where he eventually settled in to a tag team with on/off rival Rey Mysterio. The two engaged in an initially friendly series of matches during which Mysterio got the better of him every single time.

Frustrated on-screen (and apparently off-screen due to the number of jobs he was doing), Guerrero revealed the shocking secret of the Mysterio family. Rey’s peroxide loving son (and current WALTER impersonator) Dominick was in fact Eddie’s son who he apparently gave to Mysterio as a present years earlier.

The two then did battle for the custody of Dominick in a ladder match that was great bar the unfortunate miscue near the end (Eddie’s outburst over Vickie Guerrero’s lateness is something else). Whilst the wrestling side of this program was unsurprisingly excellent given the talent of the two men involved, the storyline devolved into soap operatic ridiculousness that badly damaged the Guerrero character in the final months of his career before his untimely passing in October 2005.
