And speaking of Marvel, let's talk about Disney!

In the constant quest for your attention, every media company on the planet is looking for more IP to slap onto their streaming service. The outlier has always been WWE. In a genius play, WWE got ahead of the game by starting the WWE Network and moulding it into the best wrestling service on the planet.

Now that the WWE Network is included as a part of Peacock, a service owned by NBCUniversal, rumours are floating around about the possibility of WWE selling to the highest bidder and Vince McMahon potentially stepping away.

A fair amount of these rumours stem from the endless cost-cutting that WWE has been doing. With all that said, surely The Mouse would throw their name into the hat in terms of acquiring WWE as a brand?

With the addition of Star to their service, Disney+ now caters to both children and adults, a statement that WWE also goes by. With the war for IP getting so strong, Disney could be looking to bolster their already stacked service. The likes of Marvel, Star Wars and even more animated content already exist on the service, so by acquiring WWE, Disney would have something that competitors like Netflix don't - wrestling.
