Finding the perfect finishing manoeuvre can be a different process for every wrestler.

Some stars have managed to land on a move that brilliantly brings an end to a contest and feels true to their character out of the gate. Whereas others have spent years trying out and testing various match-ending moves before finding one that took them to the next level.

In the case of the majority of the following talented workers, though, not only were they able to eventually rise to the top of the card with a finishing move that regularly blew the roof off of arenas around the globe, they actually once owned another epic piece of signature offense... and simply decided it wasn't for them.

However, there's still time for the stars involved in the entries to come to dust off everything from jaw-dropping aerial attacks to body-snapping submissions in the coming years.

So, hopefully this lot remember just how awesome their former explosive, awe-inspiring, and undeniably unique finishers actually are and unleash them on TV a few more times before they decide to ride off into the sunset and away from the wrestling business.

10. Orange Crush/Brainbustah! - Sami Zayn

After years of never honestly feeling like a guy WWE would really embrace near the top of the card, the much-loved underdog known as Sami Zayn finally became an undeniable main event babyface star in 2023.

And he did it all without ever dropping a single heel's head on the top turnbuckle with an almighty BRAINBUSTAH!

Zayn's Helluva Kick is undoubtedly one of the most simple yet effective finishers on the WWE product at this current moment in time, with the crowd-popping move being little more than a running boot to the face in the corner.

So, why bring back a weapon as potentially dangerous and difficult to execute as a certain El Generico's top-rope brainbuster then?

Because, on top of being a cute nod to Zayn's days outside of the biggest promotion on the planet, this extravagant finisher simply looks cool as hell. And who wouldn't love seeing the long-time nearly man finally win a world title after safely nailing the champ with a move synonymous with the epic journey he took to get to that long-awaited moment.

Why not throw in a few Orange Crushes in the coming years, too, with that ridiculous pump-handle/suplex/powerbomb finisher used on the independent scene also likely leaving many a WWE fan's jaw slamming off the floor should Zayn decide to pull out a long-forgotten weapon from his impressive back catalogue.
