10 Expectations Vs. Reality For WWE SummerSlam 2021

3. Will RK-Bro Implode?!

Expectation:

RK-Bro implodes!

It's going to happen at some point. It's wrestling. The tag teams never do co-exist, which should but sadly does not make Corey Graves shut the f*ck up about whether they might be able to. The big stage is the best place for it - WrestleMania V forever - because the emotion is raw. Riddle's utterly moronic character draws sympathy from the audience because he's perennially naive and earnest. He thinks the best of his partner, and it's this cockamamy thinking that will create a bizarre sense of pathos when Orton finally and definitively punts his heid off his shoulders.

Reality:

RK-Bro is over, so WWE is probably going to dry this thing out long after there's any implausible emotional intensity to it. Gauging by the crowd reactions on RAW, there's only one t-shirt flying from the merch stands, and it does not have T-BAR's name on it. RK-Bro shirts will continue to be sold.

Expect instead a rare, somewhat heartfelt championship celebration before, in the months to come, Riddle's precarious doofus jumps the shark by becoming even more of a sap.
