9. A Max Moon/Terry Taylor Match Was Scrapped
Max Moon was a character that seemed to hold at least a bit of potential: a masked marvel from outer space that could perform highly-athletic maneuvers with the greatest of ease. Originally, the gimmick was designed for Konnan, who left WWE before the character really had a chance to take off (ahem). After that, Paul Diamond (formerly Kato in the Orient Express) took over the role, primarily because he fit the costume.
Moon was scheduled to wrestle Terry Taylor at the Rumble, and the match was even listed in a WWE program. The fact that Moon/Diamond wasn't long for WWE, and left shortly after the Rumble, may have had something to do with it being axed. Instead, both Moon and Taylor took part in the Rumble match itself.
