Between 2007 and 2014, John Cena and Randy Orton faced off in 22 different pay-per-view matches (not including 30-man Royal Rumble bouts). Ten of those 22 matches were straight-up one-on-one encounters. After taking part in the same fatal four-way at Backlash 2007, and then a five-way match at Vengeance: Night of Champions, Cena and Orton had their first pay-per-view one-on-one match at SummerSlam 2007.

The feud would conveniently regenerate not unlike a starfish's limbs, although the duo's last pay-per-view match against each other was at Hell in a Cell 2014, with Cena winning. In fact, across their ten singles matches that qualify for this list, they're 5-5 against each other.

But it all began with the main event of SummerSlam 2007. And that's why the fans at the 2014 Royal Rumble chanted, "Same Old S--t".
