10 Fascinating WWE Survivor Series 2012 Facts
8. The Opener Was Not Advertised Ahead Of Time
Hey, I'm all for more elimination matches. Just load up the entire pay-per-view with about four or five elimination bouts and I won't complain about anything, except for Michael Cole's commentary. Being that only six matches would end up taking place on the main telecast of 2012, it does seem a bit weird that one twenty-minute block of the show was unoccupied until very late in the booking process.
Until show time, nobody watching had expected to see Rey Mysterio, Sin Cara, Brodus Clay, Tyson Kidd, Justin Gabriel, Tensai, the Prime Time Players, and The Colons that night, but there they all were, being given ample pay-per-view time at the top of the first hour.
Fun as the match was, it does say a lot about where the booking for Survivor Series was at when it was decided, "We've got a lot of space to fill - let's send those ten out there for a while."
