10 Fascinating WWE Survivor Series 2016 Facts
9. Charlotte Became The First Daughter Of A Previous Survivor To Survive
In Survivor Series' history, there have been four examples when a wrestler and their eventual wrestling offspring have each survived at an elimination match at the event. Dusty Rhodes (1989) has two claimants: Cody Rhodes (2008, 2011) and Goldust (2015 pre-show match). Fatu (1995) saw one of his sons, Jey Uso (2015), do the same.
Charlotte in 2016 would become the fourth person to join the list (and the first female, obviously) after father Ric Flair survived twice, in 1991 and 2006.
The father/daughter survival combo seems a little harder to pull off, due to the limited number of possible duos. Jim Neidhart and Jimmy Snuka had never survived at the event, and Paul Van Dale (former WWE jobber, and the father of Carmella) hadn't any pay-per-view matches to his credit to start with.
