I mentioned at the very beginning of this that predicting the victor of the Royal Rumble is nigh on impossible, but occasionally there are exceptions.
We all were fairly confident that Triple H was going to leave as WWE World Heavyweight Champion in 2016, John Cena was destined for a rematch with The Rock at WrestleMania 29 and so had to win the Royal Rumble in 2013, and I'd bet my house on Shayna Baszler winning the women's match this year.
Baszler is the ideal opponent for Becky Lynch at this year's 'Show of Shows.' If Lynch can overcome Asuka at the Rumble she will have defeated almost all possible opponents in the women's division, 'The Queen of Spades' not only represents a new challenge for 'The Man' but a phenomenal obstacle.
Shayna was a sensational champion in NXT, holding the women's title for a combined 549 days over her two reigns. Since dropping the championship to Rhea Ripley late last year, she has been conspicuous by her absence on Wednesday nights, and a move to Monday Night Raw seems inevitable.
