NXT has certainly seen an evolution over the years since its inception. During the original installment of NXT television, we were introduced to the likes of AJ Lee, Naomi, and Kaitlyn; three women who went on to make a name for themselves on the main roster.

Kaitlyn won the Divas Championship and was involved in an ongoing rivalry with AJ Lee during a time when the women of WWE were not featured in long-term feuds. AJ became a three-time Divas Champion, a Raw General Manager, and a focal point of multiple main event storylines before retiring in 2015. Naomi is a two-time SmackDown Women's Champion, winning her second title at WrestleMania 33. She continues to be a major player in the division.

The trio planted the seeds for what would become one of the hallmarks of the maturing NXT: its women's division. A far cry from the main roster 'Divas' direction, the female talent at Full Sail was presented legitimately, with the fabled 'Four Horsewomen' emerging as totems for a newly legitimised genre.

In the last few years, women like Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks, Bayley, Alexa Bliss, Carmella and Asuka have all passed through NXT's doors to become major names on the main roster. And the process doesn't end with them.

Now, there is a new crop of talented women in NXT who will become the faces of tomorrow. Just who are they? Read on to find out.

10. Mia Yim

After creating a legacy on the independent scene and Impact Wrestling for eight years, Mia Yim finally found herself signed to WWE. Known as the HBIC (Head Baddie In Charge) of NXT, she competed in both Mae Young Classic tournaments, gaining even more popularity and recognition.

After she was eliminated by Toni Storm in the quarterfinals of the second tournament, WWE COO Triple H took notice of the fans chanting "please sign Mia." His simple response? "Ok." And the rest was history.

Since officially signing her contact in 2018, Mia has been a constant fixture on NXT television, having a series of incredible matches with Bianca Belair, ultimately getting the better of her opponent 2-1. Where does Mia go from here? Let's just say that she would look pretty darn good with some gold around her waist.

Evan has been a wrestling fan since the age of seven, a time when children should not have been watching wrestling. That's right...the attitude era!! He loves talking about wrestling, writing about wrestling, and fantasizing about working for a wrestling company one day. Aside from that, he loves all things pop culture: movies, music, and TV. He also loves to read, travel (even though he doesn't do much of it), and explore new things about this crazy ass world.
