10 Former Midcarders Who Could Return To WWE As Main Eventers In 2015
8. Luke Gallows
Gallows had to endure being saddled with a bunch of truly awful gimmicks before catching a break as a disciple of CM Punk's Straight Edge Society in 2010. First, he appeared as the 'imposter' Kane in a crap feud with the original in 2006 and then he was reintroduced as Festus, a 'simple' man who was in a constant daze until the ring bell sounded whereupon he would become a raging behemoth. Festus, along with partner Jesse, had a decent run as a tag team for a little over a year but the act was strictly opening match and house show material. Festus was drafted to Raw although he never debuted on the show, instead returning to Smackdown a few months later as part of the SES. Gallows was released by the WWE in September 2010 and returned to the independent scene, TNA and finally, New Japan. He has been very successful in NJPW as a member of the Bullet Club stable of gaijin and regularly teams with the vastly underrated Karl Anderson (another talent WWE should definitely take a look at). Big 'Doc' Gallows has the size that WWE looks for in a main eventer, is well-liked by his peers and his improved immeasurably during his time wrestling in Japan. He is also incredibly funny and charismatic, as anyone who has listened to his podcast can attest to.
