3. Airport Customs Make Fun Of Me For My BBQ Sauce

I was on my way home from Seattle and reminiscing about my amazing trip when I put my carry on bag through the security detector. I had bought a JR€™s BBQ sauce at Axxess, but back then the lid for the sauce was a little JR cowboy hat. So naturally, not wanting to damage my collectible, I stored it in my carry on bag where I could keep it safe.

I€™ll never forget the look of horror on the customs official's face when he opened my bag and took out a bottle of BBQ sauce and noticed the cowboy hat lid. It€™s the one time at customs that I ever saw an official start laughing. He was just laughing in my face. He didn€™t ask for an explanation or give any hint that there was anything dodgy in the bottle, he just thought it was great.

Five minutes later and he€™d called over three other members of staff for them to all look, laugh and, I kid you not, take pictures of the bottle to show their friends. The idea that you would buy a bottle of BBQ sauce, with a tiny cowboy hat on the lid, was too much for them to handle.

They eventually let me through and I walked onto the plane feeling ashamed and dejected.
