10 Fun Facts From My Trip To WWE WrestleMania 30

Getting the golden ticket to the chocolate factory, as I go backstage at WrestleMania!

In this edition of me strolling down memory lane, you'll notice that I'm a little cryptic about certain things, like how I managed to get backstage at some of the events. I happen to have a really good friendship with someone closely associated with a WWE Hall of Famer, which is something that I don't really want to talk about too publicly.

In saying that, there are some good stories that I'll be happy to share in this edition of 'fun facts'.

WrestleMania XXX was shaping up to be an incredible show. Daniel Bryan was valiantly trying to become WWE Champion but had to get through the obstacle that is Triple H first, while Brock Lesnar was trying to break The Streak and Hulk Hogan was back with the company as the host of the show.

This was, of course, the WrestleMania where CM Punk was scheduled to face off against Triple H but he left the company following the Royal Rumble. Even in NOLA, the majority of fans still expected a surprise appearance from The Best In The World on the big stage. Sadly, it wasn't to be, but that didn't put a blight on the show.

The Grandaddy of Them All had never taken place in New Orleans up until that point so I was keen to see how Bourbon Street would handle the tens of thousands of WrestleMania fans.

Luckily, it didn't disappoint...
