AJ Gray is another promising wrestler who is just entering his prime while working in GCW and making waves up and down the country on the American independent scene.
He has competed in almost every match type you can have in the promotion and even had a title shot for the GCW World Championship against Nick Gage this May. By July, he would have a second title opportunity this time against Alex Colon for the GCW Ultraviolent Championship but would yet again be unsuccessful.
His matches against Lee Moriarty and Allie Katch are a must-watch while his inclusion in Team MDK for their War Games match in September against Ricky Shane Page's 44OH! faction really shows off how important he is to GCW as a whole. The Second Gear Crew have been one of the most prominent teams in the company in 2021 and with the Briscoes taking the Tag-Team Championships at War Ready from the team. Gray and Effy wouldn't be able to win back the titles this November at an ROH event but could they in 2022?
