10 Greatest LGBTQ Fighters In UFC History
9. Tonya Evinger
Following three consecutive losses in the UFC, 38-year-old Tonya Evinger's MMA career may be winding down. That being said, in her prime, the former Invicta FC Bantamweight Champion was one of the best female fighters in the business.
She holds signature victories over established names like Yana Kunitskaya, Irene Aldana, and Julie Kedzie.
The outspoken MMA vet made headlines in her Invicta days when she kissed interviewer Laura Sanko — having vomited just moments before the incident. The infamous kiss helped make her one of the most recognized names in the promotion.
Evinger is also a former UFC title challenger, who moved up a weight class to take on Cris Cyborg for the featherweight strap in her UFC debut, back in 2017. While she would end up losing the fight, Evinger earned plenty of fans' respect by lasting over two rounds against a larger and more powerful opponent in Cyborg.
She is a well-rounded former champ with a never-say-die attitude, which is good enough to earn the number nine spot on our list.
