10 Hidden Meanings Behind WWE WrestleMania 36 Attires

1. John Cena - A Florida Gator In The Firefly Fun House

The mesmerising Firefly Fun House match between John Cena and Bray Wyatt stole WrestleMania 36, but even a warped trip through the shared psyches of two broken souls can yield fantastic stylistic choices. Not least in a production as loyal to the little things as this was.

'The Champ' mirrored nWo-era Hulk Hogan at one point, including a New World Order cap that not only suited Cena's style but flashed (snapped?) back to a look 'Hollywood' and the gang experimented with. For the do-over of their WrestleMania XXX, 'Big Match John' sported the exact ensemble he wore in New Orleans, his "You Can't Stop Me" t-shirt messaging suddenly futile in the face of The Fiend.

But they saved the best for...first. In the dark retelling of his Ruthless Aggression debut, Cena was back in his local sports team boots and tights, but he didn't wear the shorts he wore against Angle. True to the location, Cena was in Florida Gators colours. This was present day John, knowing of his circumstances, trying and failing to fix his past.
