10 Hilarious Talk Show Appearances By WWE Stars

10. Paul Heyman, Captain Lou Albano, And More On The Morton Downey Jr. Show

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-HYfyPZgwQ Where to start? While nobody on this show was affiliated with WWE at the time, a number of the guys who appeared were former or future WWE talent. The Morton Downey Jr. Show was one of the original crazy trashy talk talk shows, the east coast equivalent of Wally George's Hot Seat in California. In the late '80s, Downey did a wrestling episode that grew out of former wrestler and football player Jim Wilson arguing about wrestlers' working conditions. Blading, having to turn down sexual advances from promoters, pay, and everything in between. He starts arguing with Dr. D David Shults, who makes a ton of off-color gay jokes, and then the show is off to the races. Indie promoter Dennis Coraluzzo joins in bashing Wilson. Paul Heyman calls in as Paul E. Dangerously and says Wilson was rightfully blackballed from major promotions since he couldn't draw money. Thunderbolt Patterson claims he was discriminated against, only for Ted Arcidi of all of people to cite various famous black wrestlers as proof discrimination didn't exist or something. Lou Albano materializes at some point and the show devolves into a mess, albeit an entertaining one. There are a lot worse ways to spend 40 minutes, and I can watch this thing over and over.
