10 Historic 2002 Raw & SmackDown Moments To Check Out On WWE Network

1. Eric Bischoff Embraces Vince McMahon

When Eric Bischoff shockingly first appeared on WWE television on July 15th, 2002, there were a lot of fans left wondering what might have been. Had Bischoff been part of the WCW 'Invasion', a lot of people reasoned that the entire storyline would have had more merit from the get-go. Sadly, he wasn't, and instead hugged Vince McMahon during his very first appearance. Instantly, Bischoff was installed as the General Manager of Raw, a role which he has since noted he greatly enjoyed. Free from the pressures of actually running a company, Eric was able to simply focus on his performances. Having always been a tremendous talker, Bischoff excelled in the position, and was GM for almost 3 years. For those fans who haven't seen the moment, it's worth checking out the reaction from the live crowd when McMahon parades Eric Bischoff before the audience. Fans in New Jersey were clearly stunned by what they were seeing, because both Bischoff and McMahon had been at loggerheads for years. What other historic moments from 2002 do you remember?
