AEW Revolution 2021 is shaping up to be the best kind of pro wrestling variety show, with a wide range of different matches types and stipulations set to be showcased in one of the most diverse lineups the promotion has ever produced.

There's an Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch in the main event and a Street Fight on the undercard. One multi-man is the Face of the Revolution ladder match, and the second is a reprisal of the Casino Battle Royale format, albeit with tag teams. The Tag Team and Women's World Titles will be contested in more conventional bouts, but even Matt Hardy and Hangman Page's Big Money Match comes with extra juice.

If nothing else, the pay-per-view should be as wild and creative as the go-home show was, with Shaquille O'Neal, Jade Cargill, and 67-year-old Tully Blanchard all killing it.

The build hasn't been perfect, with Dynamite too often slipping down to second or third gear over 2021's first few months, though things have heated up considerably on the past two shows. Even the Sting/Darby Allin vs. Team Taz feud has found juice in the form of the 61-year-old's powerbomb bump and signs of life on offense. The ceiling is high: and so are expectations.

Covering everything from Kenny Omega vs. Jon Moxley to the two big surprises, let's light the fuse...
