WWE teased the potential of their Elimination Chamber main event with a spectacular gauntlet brawl on the go-home SmackDown Live to elevate Kofi Kingston as the last-minute replacement for Mustafa Ali.

The New Day star went through almost the entire field during a 60-minute stint in the match before losing in a gutsy display against AJ Styles. 'The Phenomenal One' was decked by Randy Orton in a short and sweet shift for 'The Viper'. Typical WWE foreshadowing suggests he won't do quite as well on Sunday, but he'd probably only confuse a hemp belt for a handbag and sh*t all over it anyway.

Kofi will claim the runners-up medal he missed out on on Sunday, and in grandiose fashion if the Champion can summon the skills he deployed in the scintillating Santino-based conclusion to 2012's main event. The New Daniel Bryan has been revelatory in gimmick but reassuring in his work. Expect him to retain here, even if it's just to line up the most unlikely of WrestleMania opponents.

Winner - Daniel Bryan
