Please just let this be the end of whatever this is.

The worst feud of the year has now dragged on long enough that paying punters are going to have to endure it, and maybe that can salvage the whole thing at the last. Real noise is better than confused.wav, right? That these are the caveats and qualifiers for a payoff battle between Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair is an indictment, but everything is these days. WWE's main roster output indicts itself multiple times a week.

We're months in and it's still not clear who's supposed to be the heel or babyface, even though both are pretty dislikable. Ripley hasn't particularly sold how prior losses to Flair derailed her career. Neither of them sold that beat-the-clock sh*t, and that f*cking braindead this-is-the-real-quiz nonsense with the fake injuries was so phoney that one day people will reference it if either really do go down hurt and ask you to care.

Ripley needs this to be over to try and get over again, but there's something so deliciously spiteful about taking the belt off her the second audiences return. And what is WWE if it's not deliciously spiteful? The story hasn't made a lick of sense, why should the ending?

Winner - Charlotte Flair
