8. Banks Turns On Bayley

Apparently, Vince McMahon hates it when wrestlers try and build to matches they know won't happen, which is strange, because he does it all the time.

Case in point - the endless "feud" between Sasha Banks and Bayley.

Banks and Bayley's friendship was prominent on Raw in the build up to the first ever all-female Chamber match in 2018. The pair made it to the final three alongside defending Raw Women's Champion, Alexa Bliss. Just when it looked like Bliss' number was up, Banks turned on her friend, kicking her off the top of a pod.

At the time, this was great. Fans were clamouring to see Banks and Bayley recreate their NXT magic on the main roster and a big match at WrestleMania 34 was seemingly on the cards. And then Vince McMahon remembered who he was and decided to screw everything up.

Bayley would eliminate Banks from the WrestleMania Women's Battle Royal - hardly the thrilling pay-off fans were hoping for. After a year's worth of teasing a match between the two, they simply reconciled their differences, formed a team, and became the inaugural Tag Team Championships.

So all of the nonsense inside the Chamber was for nothing, then?

Great.
