10 INSANE Dream Wrestling Matches We’d Love To See (But Never Will)

1. Bryan Danielson Vs Bret Hart

Tale of the Tape

Bryan Danielson: 5ft 8ins / 196 lbs / 4x WWE Champion, 1x WWE World Heavyweight Champion

Bret Hart: 6ft 0ins / 235 lbs / 5x WWF Champion, 2x WCW World Heavyweight Champion

Of all the conceivable dream matches, Bret Hart vs. Bryan Danielson is perhaps the easiest sell. Two of the best technical grapplers of their generation, whose brilliance not only elevates themselves put also pulls the best out of anyone they share a ring with. The two have a stoic dignity, though, that wouldn't stop them from tearing each other apart.

Danielson vs. Hart is the kind of match that could entertain and educate anybody from casual fans to industry veterans. In fantasy booking, even the most creative among us couldn't do this clash justice.

While Danielson came back from a concussion induced-retirement, Hart was not so lucky. In one of wrestling's most infamous injuries, Goldberg inflicted a severe concussion on Hart with a botched mule kick (WCW Starrcade 1999). The Hitman was quickly diagnosed with post-concussion syndrome and his in-ring career began rapidly wrapping up.

Thankfully, Bret's body of work prior to this was strong enough to overshadow his poor WCW booking and 2009-2010 WWE return.
