*It looks like they are naughty boys. There is no way of verifying this, but it looks like they are naughty boys.

'The Real Maxx Payne' never did get released, but the trailer is incriminating enough.

Maxx Payne, known to World Wrestling Federation fans as Man Mountain Rock - a guitar-playing character plucked from the rolodex of occupational gimmicks - shot much behind the scenes footage of backstage ahead of a would-be documentary revealing what life on the road really involves. "'90s wrestlers probably took a lot of uppers and painkillers" is hardly an insane revelation, but it's fairly insane that such footage exists.

The sinister piano, droning guitar and black-and-white filter is in such stark contrast to the DayGlo New Generation aesthetic that the trailer instantly feels like both transgression and truth; if we knew that world of colour to be fake, this must be real.

At one point, Yokozuna is shown with his finger in his mouth. Now, he might have been biting his nails, but then again, he was a '90s wrestler on a tour bus. Kevin Nash meanwhile is shown with a massive beam on his face dropping several bottles of pills into a box.

You can't see the pills, so they might be aspirin, but then again, Nash was a '90s wrestler on a tour bus.
