10. The Alliance - Tito Santana, Nikolai Volkoff & The Bushwackers (1990)
When your star man is Tito Santana during a time in which he was being used as a mid-card wrestler at best, you know your team isn't great. When the rest of your team is the inept Bushwhackers and Nikolai Volkoff during his pro-American face period, you know your team is outright terrible. This quartet made up the team known as "the Alliance" at the 1990 Survivor Series and they went up against a team who, on paper at least, only looked a little bit better than they did. The Mercenaries consisted of Sgt. Slaughter, Boris Zhukov and The Orient Express and they actually lost to The Alliance - but that was by virtue of the fact that they were the heels and nothing more.
