10 Legends Who Never Held Gold In WWE

These superstars had Hall of Fame careers despite never holding a championship in WWE.

The WWE World Heavyweight Championship -- and its many incarnations over the years -- is the ultimate prize in the WWE. It€™s the goal to which every superstar in the world of wrestling aspires. However, there are only a select few who can claim to have held the proverbial fifteen pounds of gold since the title€™s initial inception in 1963 -- only 44 men have held the belt in total. While the WWE Championship is the pinnacle in sports entertainment, there are other titles in the WWE that can bring prominence and prestige, such as the Intercontinental Championship or tag team gold. However, there are still countless wrestlers who never succeed in winning a single title while in the confines of the WWE. In most cases, these superstars fall by the wayside without leaving much of a legacy behind. However, there are a select few who have gone on to legendary status despite having never held a single piece of gold in WWE. Some of these men have even gone on to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Join us as we take a look at a select few superstars who have become legends, despite their unsuccessful attempts to win championship gold in the WWE.
