6. Baron Corbin Will Never Get Over

It's been said thousands of times, but the WWE fans of today aren't the WWE fans of yesteryear. Today's hardcore fanbase places more of a premium on in-ring action that ever before, and as long as the company employs Seth Rollins, Cesaro, Samoa Joe, and Apollo Crews, fans aren't going to care about Sheamus, Braun Strowman, The Ascension, and Eva Marie.

That was on full display during the Austin Aries-Baron Corbin match. Like the Crews-Samson match, the bout suffered because the less-talented heel was on offense for an excessively long time - in this case, "The Lone Wolf" applied an interminable nerve hold that seemed to singlehandedly topple any argument that he's improved. The fans became restless, and Corbin wasn't getting the same kind of heat that The Revival or Samoa Joe did.

Aries eventually won, delighting a surprised audience and getting his NXT career off to a strong start. Still, it's hard to imagine that Corbin won't be pushed more in the long run, and that's a sign of how out-of-touch the company truly is.
