10 Moments You Can’t Believe WWE Left On The Network

5. The Big Show's Big Racist F*ck Up

The WWF really didn't know what to call The Big Show at first.

He was initially known by his real name, Paul Wight. He was branded with the slogan "No gimmicks needed" before it was then decided he needed a gimmick. Big Nasty was thrown about on television before WWE eventually settled on The Big Show. Perhaps The Big Racist would have been more appropriate.

On the April 16, 2001 RAW, The Big Show was challenged to a match by Kai En Tai after he had left them for dead during a tag team match opposite the Brothers of Destruction on the previous episode of SmackDown. Show was incredulous in a backstage skit with Shane McMahon. "Me against Kai En Tai. Can you believe those two little goo*s challenged me?"

This came after Big Show admonished them for failing to learn English ("Understand-o?"). To be fair, Kai En Tai had their promos dubbed for them, so there really wasn't any need. When he eventually drafted them as his partners, he ordered some Chinese food through their Japanese interpreter. The worst was yet to come, obviously. Show to this day is adamant that he said "goofs", and that his fat tongue created an unintended ambiguity. It sounds to this day that he used the slur, and their previous interactions certainly make it plausible.

It wasn't the only time Kai En Tai were abused. The poor guys who were shot by all sides.
