It is the most highly anticipated pay per view of the year. It's the end of the WWE's current season, if it can be classed as that, and the beginning of the company's new campaign. WrestleMania is a pivotal time of the year, it is, and shall always be the be all and end all when it comes to WWE. There are so many aspects that Vince McMahon and his creative teams need to get right when it comes to his brainchild and marquee event of the year, with the main area of course being the card itself. Amidst all of the tomfoolery that often blights WWE's programming in this most PG of eras, the heartbeat of any show remains the matches that take place in the 20 foot by 20 foot ring. That's how it should be, and how it will be for the rest of time. If a show doesn't have compelling battles from which to form layered and interesting story lines around, a show, what ever its size, will never get off the floor.
