10 Most Charismatic WWE Superstars Right Now
And you can't teach that!
Since the WWE Draft, the quality of both Raw and SmackDown has been decidedly inconsistent. However, both shows have undisputedly increased their promo game, with several wrestlers knocking it out of the park on the microphone.
WWE history is littered with charismatic mic masters, but could we be experiencing another golden age right now? From seasoned veterans such as John Cena and Chris Jericho, to newer superstars like Enzo Amore and Sasha Banks, the current roster is certainly not a place for shrinking violets.
Of course, there are many more elements to someone's charisma rather than just the ability to cut a good promo. There are so many contributing components, from the way a wrestler moves to their ability to ad-lib, as well as their general persona and mystique.
Here are the ten most charismatic WWE superstars right now...
DISCLAIMER: I've left NXT members off the list, as well as non-wrestling figures (Heyman, etc.). Also, Kalisto will not be appearing on this list. Sorry about that.
10. Seth Rollins
This spot was a hard-fought one, with Seth beating wrestlers such as Dolph Ziggler and Charlotte into 'honourable mention' territory. The key reason? His versatility.
Yes, Charlotte and Dolph may be more natural on the mic (at least according to that conventional WWE cadence), but Rollins has expertly conveyed a range of emotions during his short stint as the company's top heel. Charlotte is either a fiercely proud babyface or a fiercely haughty heel, while Ziggler is similarly cocky regardless of his alignment at the time.
Seth, on the other hand, has been several different types of heel, subtly changing his persona to clash more violently with his opponent. Against Lesnar he was cowardly and terrified. Against Ambrose he was vindictive and cruel. Against Cena and Sting he ascended to a new level of arrogance, eager to rip the torch from the old-timers' hands.
Each new incarnation of Rollins differs little from the one before, but represents a key evolution in his character. He is an underrated charismatic force in WWE, and hopefully it is recognised on a similar level to his ringwork in the near future.
