Although the current PG era has zapped a bit of the unhinged craziness out of Raw - with the three hour duration not doing it any favors - WWE's flagship programme used to be a riot. Sure, in recent times the feeling that "anything could happen" has been largely replaced with the sense that "nothing will happen that hasn't happened a million times before", but it wasn't always that way.
In years gone by, Raw frequently spat out jaw-dropping moments that had fans screaming "HOLY S***!" and fearing that a performer had honestly, by God, been "broken in half". When we talk about these death-defying spots, these aren't necessarily the flashy moments that involve someone flying thirty feet through the air like they've been shot, half-naked, out of a cannon, mind.
