10 Most Epic Beards In WWE Today

Edge returned to SmackDown modelling a strong beard, but whose hairy face currently runs the place?

Since the dawn of man, the ability to grow a beard has been nature's way of determining the male pecking order (probably). Eating raw meat or completing a journey without a GPS will boost man's masculinity, but nothing commands respect like rugged facial hair. Not every man can grow a beard. Life just sucks sometimes. But even if your name is Patchy McClean-Face, you will have witnessed the unspoken bond shared among the bearded community. A slight nod and smile that says, "I see what you have nurtured and I respect your credentials."

The bearded world was nodding like collective metal-enthusiasts when Edge returned on SmackDown 900 this week. The return of the Undertaker was billed as the marquee moment, but it was the Rated R Superstar's lumberjack look that stole the show. To retire with neck injuries yet hold up 200 pounds (estimate) of facial hair demands respect from the WWE Universe (other factors apply). This respect is shared among other retired figures too - Micky Foley wearing the Chewbacca and Daniel Bryan reverting to the Billy Goat post his 2015 "Messiah" run.

First Impressions are important so it is no surprise the current talent is attempting to out-beard each-other. Reigns, Ambrose, Rusev, and Neville have all trialed different styles recently. But who has the strongest beard game in WWE today? Honourable mentions include Tommaso Ciampa, Scott Dawson, and Eric Young (trimming the crop was not easy) but here are the 10 most Epic Beards in WWE Today:

10. Seth Rollins

The former architect of The Shield is also the architect of a pretty impressive cookie duster. Rollins is currently occupying the number one face spot on Raw, so it is good to see he is protecting his actual face with a healthy dosage of facial hair. How a man carries his beard says a lot about him, so the disciplined, consistent and well crafted nature of Seth's look speaks volumes about his approach as an overall performer.

The significance of Seth's beard is magnified when considering the prospect of its removal; the thought of a clean shaven Rollins is nightmare inducing. Seth will be around in the WWE for a long time so his gimmick is guaranteed to be tweaked, but let's just hope he has gone heel if the razor has it's day - the babyface with a babyface is not the role anyone wants to see Rollins in.
