1. Baby Doll Turns On Dusty Rhodes

The American Dream never saw it coming.

After Tully Blanchard slapped his valet Baby Doll and fired her, Dusty Rhodes went to her aid. He always saw the potential she had, and knew she had just fallen in with the wrong crowd. So Rhodes took Baby Doll under his wing, and they became a beloved pair. However, Baby Doll was used to the finer things in life, fast cars and pretty clothes, and unbeknownst to Rhodes, was jonesing for the wrong crowd known as the Four Horsemen.

In August of 1986, Rhodes received a championship rematch against Ric Flair in Charlotte, North Carolina. After nearly decapitating the Nature Boy with a lariat, Rhodes made the cover. Baby Doll shocked the crowd by putting Flair’s foot on the bottom rope. Rhodes didn’t see what happened, but when he had Flair trapped in the figure four and Baby Doll once again saved Flair, he knew the fix was in.

In the aftermath of the betrayal, Rhodes delivered one of his most famous promos, calling Baby Doll a jezebel and vowing to deliver a “shameful” whooping to all the Horsemen.
