10 Most Important Milestones In WWE NXT History

Is this really still classed as WWE's Developmental?

It's finally here. Tonight we all get to see good friends turned bitter enemies Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens battle for the NXT Championship. TakeOver: Rival is the fifth live special NXT will have put on in their history as it continues to go from strength to strength. This really is a fitting title for the show as every match, bar from one, involves superstars that have been at loggerheads for weeks. Here's the card in full: NXT Championship Match Sami Zayn (c) vs. Kevin Owens NXT Women€™s Championship Match Charlotte (c) vs. Sasha Banks vs. Bayley vs. Becky Lynch NXT Tag Team Championship Match Wesley Blake & Buddy Murphy (c) vs. The Lucha Dragons #1 Contender€™s Match Finn Balor vs. Adrian Neville No Disqualification Match Bull Dempsey vs. Baron Corbin Singles Match Hideo Itami vs. Tyler Breeze It won't be too long before many of these stars make the jump up, or jump down in some people's eyes, to the main roster. NXT does a lot of things that the main roster shows don't, which is why a growing majority see it as WWE's premier show. It's organic and to the point. There's no nonsense that leaves you liable to change the channel, or flick to another show on the WWE Network. It's just pure wrestling, something that fans of WWE want to see believe it or not. The main shows get far too caught up in the notion that they have to entertain, forgetting the fact that the action in the ring is what really entertains WRESTLING FANS and why everyone in the arenas around the world buys a ticket. Raw and SmackDown are littered with so many rubbish comedic skits and other nonsense that leaves you cringing. It's almost embarrassing to watch at times. Anyway, enough of that rant, here's the key milestones in the history on NXT.
