Date: May 24th Wrestling fans around the world didn't quite know how to respond when Owen Hart passed away. For the majority of fans, a wrestler dying in the ring or during a show wasn't something they had ever experienced before, especially one of this magnitude. With Owen passing away during a pay-per-view, fans then wondered how things would go on Raw the next night. The answer was a two-hour tribute to Owen, with wrestlers breaking character to share their raw (no pun intended), emotional thoughts about losing a friend and colleague so soon. Tears were shed, stories were told, and even some laughs were had as Owen was revealed to the world to be an amazing prankster that was always ready to play a joke on someone. This is one of the rare episodes of Raw where the entire show becomes memorable, not just one match, promo or segment. If you were watching wrestling in 1999, you will always remember where you were for Over The Edge and for the next night's edition of Raw. It's just a shame that it has to be for such a sad reason.
