10 Most Obscure Title Wins In WWE History
9. Terri - Hardcore Title
Another entry for the Hardcore Championship, though this
time from a rather less-decorated source.
In fact, when Terri won the Hardcore title on Raw in 2002, she wasn’t just a stranger to championships, she was a stranger to any kind of in-ring competition, given that she was primarily a backstage announcer/bikini contest entrant.
Not that she’d be letting her job description get in the way of a good story, though, and not that this one even took place inside a ring at all.
During an backstage interview with Steven Richards, Terri was rudely interrupted by an impromptu brawl, as Jacqueline, Shawn Stasiak and the Big Boss Man each tried to pin Richards for the title. But with the interlopers battling over who would get the pin, Terri saw her moment to step up the plate, covering Richards for the 1-2-3 and capturing the Hardcore Championship.
The reign itself was even shorter than Angle’s had been, though, with Richards rolling Terri up almost immediately to regain the not-so-prestigious belt.
It would prove to be the only gold - or rather, muddied bronze - that she’d win in her WWE career.
