10 Most Over Tag Teams In WWE History
8. New Day
Though the act may be growing stale now, New Day was one of the most unique and consistently entertaining teams in the company at their peak. The group was unique in using Freebird Rule in the modern era, which allowed the three of them to swap the belts around and choose whichever pair they wanted to defend the titles at any given moment. The idea must have regained currency; The Wyatt Family adopted the scheme for their run with the SmackDown tag titles last year. (Admittedly, The Spirit Squad used the same technique a while back, but they were, you know, bad.)
The trio might be in need of something of a refresh, and Xavier Woods could be on unsteady ground after recent intrusions into his personal life, but nevertheless they were and remain a huge merchandise shifter. Who has been better than the New Day in the tag division in the last few years? Who? Who?
