2. Tag Team Implosion

No tag team is long for this world, no matter how much we love them. Whether owing to one member's rise to singles glory or just to shake things up, almost all WWE tag teams are destined to implode in a chorus of chair shots and superkicks. Long may it continue.

When a tag team reaches the end of the road, it's usually cause for excitement, so long as their breakup culminates in a dramatic meltdown worthy of a trashy soap opera or talk show. Throw in a good table spot and even better.

The tragic demise of Edge and Christian and The Rockers was made up for with compelling storytelling that produced some of WWE's most iconic moments. Who can ever forget Shawn Michaels tossing Marty Jannetty through the Barber Shop window? That one still hurts. You can feel it in your knees on a rainy day.

Although it's a moment WWE has since emulated countless times, the shock of watching an endearing team fall apart never gets old, at least when the story lands. Kevin Owens attacking Chris Jericho during the Festival of Friendship and Seth Rollins turning on The Shield confirmed there's plenty of mileage left in the tank with this storyline.

Just don't haunt us with the image of a dejected Jericho asking Owens why his name was on the list. Our hearts can't take it.
