10 Most Ridiculous Oversells In Wrestling History

4. Dolph Ziggler (Vs Zack Ryder, WrestleMania 28)

123 Kid Chris Hamrick
WWE Network

Peak Ziggler, this. Doubly so considering he's trying to help his mate Zack Ryder out long after the pair of them stood any chance of escaping such a wretched time-filler of a match with their credibility in tact.

Competing as opposing team members in the interminable John Laurinaitis vs Teddy Long team match at WrestleMania 28, Ryder's late flurry was effectively the lone highlight of his post-US Title loss 2012, and even that was rendered moot by the kick to the spuds from Eve Torres immediately after the match.

On a quest to do something to prove to higher-ups that he belonged in a WrestleMania singles match (the quest continues...), Dolph dusted off his bouncing boots and took an insane bump from Ryder's relatively inconsequential monkey flip amidst a sea of signature moves and nearfalls.

It's a sell he only unleashed on select occasions, and few warrant the spectacle as much as WrestleMania, but the bump has ultimately come to represent Ziggler's entire career as the company progressed around him. Flying high in a moment of genuine triumph, Dolph was quite the 'Show Off' but yet again ended up flat on his face.
