At one time, Stephanie McMahon was the young and innocent type; the all-American girl with a big heart and a great smile. Fans knew who she was and they also knew that unlike the other members of her family, she was above reproach. She may have been Daddy's little girl but she was not of his mindset. Stephanie was the nice girl and because of that she was very out of place. However all of that changed at Armageddon in 1999. Vince was booked to face Triple H in a No Holds Barred match that spilled out of the ring and went all over the arena, as well as outside the building. The Game had gotten one over on the old man and Stephanie was both shocked and furious. This led to the match at Armageddon, with the stipulation that if Vince won, the marriage would be annulled. That did not happen though, as Steph showed her true colors by siding with her new husband against her father. The girl that fans once believed was above it all had taken part in her family's tradition of treachery and that began a trend that continues for Stephanie's character to this very day.
