10 Most Shocking Wrestling Unmaskings
5. "La Parka"
While many of the aging big-money stars in WCW were content to coast and collect their paychecks, Randy Savage wasn't one of them. Even into the late '90s, "Macho Man" was fiercely competitive and took pride in his performances. It was that pride which allowed him to have an incredible feud with Diamond Dallas Page, one that made Page a star.
When DDP turned babyface by refusing an invitation to join the New World Order, he made a powerful enemy in the form of Savage. The former WWE Champion attacked Page, spray-painting "nWo" on his back, but soon took things to a very personal level. At Uncensored 1997, Savage's longtime valet Miss Elizabeth revealed that Page was married to head Nitro Girl Kimberly, then unveiled Kimberly's Playboy pictorial - defaced with nWo graffiti. Kimberly then came out from the back, with "nWo" spray-painted on her body, as well.
That kickstarted what's remembered as one of the best programs in WCW history. Page beat Savage in the main event of Spring Stampede, but Savage picked up a win at The Great American Bash. The feud continued, with a particularly memorable angle on July 7, 1997's Nitro.
That evening, Savage was booked to face La Parka, a heavyweight luchador who wore a full-body skeleton outfit. Savage toyed with La Parka for a bit, but when he went for the Top Rope Elbow Drop, Parka got his feet up. He then nailed Savage with the Diamond Cutter, whipped off his mask to reveal DDP, and pinned Savage in front of a stunned and elated crowd.
