10 Most Shocking WWE Royal Rumble Eliminations Ever

4. Sid Justice Eliminates Hulk Hogan (1992)

Ah, Hogan. Even when you're out, you're always in, somehow. Undeniably the favourite for the 1992 Royal Rumble - the first to ever contest the WWE Title itself - and especially so after being one of the final five to enter, Hulk Hogan was shockingly eliminated from the bout after around ten minutes in by an upcoming young monster by the name of Sid Justice. The crowd was audibly stunned by the exit of the man who had won the two years' previous Rumble matches, but they needn't worry: in a match that saw Ric Flair pull off one of the greatest upsets in the history of pro wrestling, going just under an hour to set a new record for a Rumble winner and pulling off an unimaginable heel victory in the process, Hogan would insert himself into the final moments of the match, helping Flair to push Sid over the top rope. In fairness, that it took two icons to get him over the top did help cement Sid as a beast, so I suppose it wasn't too bad that Hogan got involved this time. Maybe.
