10 Most Shocking WWE TitanTron Moments

4. Escaping The Deadman

Ever-the-innovator, Shawn Michaels was the first person to ever treat the TitanTron like his own personal climbing frame, dramatically scaling the structure whilst running from a raging Undertaker to close out a September 1997 episode of Monday Night Raw.

Shawn had continuously escaped Undertaker's wrath after first costing him the WWE Title at August's SummerSlam, then waffling him repeatedly with a chair in subsequent weeks.

With allies Triple H, Rick Rude & Chyna subdued, Michaels was finally left alone to face his consequences.

Attempting to scarper altogether, he was thrown off by a mysterious glare of red light and smoke in the entrance way, leaving him no other option that to flee up the giant screen as Raw climactically went off the air.

The memorable angle served two purposes.

With Shawn yet again finding an unlikely way to avoid his punishment, the need for something like the impending Hell in a Cell was readily apparent, giving 'The Heartbreak Kid' no way of dodging Undertaker's fury.

But more subtly, it foreshadowed the imminent arrival of Kane. As fans would later discover, a location bathed in red symbolised his unholy presence, and mere weeks ahead of his shock arrival, this marked the final tease of his lingering shadow.
