10 Most Soul-Destroying WWE Losses Of All Time

When the pain of defeat just gets too much.

It's been said that professional wrestling is the ultimate form of entertainment, a statement anyone who even passively watches the medium will agree with. Marrying live theatre, rock music, pantomime sport and combat, wrestling paints a pretty darn vivid picture for the viewer, often taking people on an incredibly emotional rollercoaster of a ride. Pretty much everyone who doesn't live underneath a rock knows that wrestling is pre-determined, but therein lies part of the overall appeal of it all - by suspending disbelief in what's going on, millions around the globe are transfixed, entertained beyond belief by what they're watching. For that very reason, wrestling fans tend to take things very seriously. Generally speaking, when things don't play out quite how people wanted them to, hissy fits are thrown, and toys are chucked from the proverbial pram! This can be because of two very distinct reasons - perhaps fans are upset because their favourite lost, and they were caught up in the match. On the other hand, maybe they're so frustrated because they feel those pesky bookers are stupid and don't know what the hell they're doing. This list looks at 10 different occasions during which fans were taken on a tremendously emotional journey, often for wildly varying reasons.
