10 Most Surprising PPV Headliners In WWE History
9. Goldust - In Your House 8
In Your House 8: Beware of Dog was one of the more interesting PPVs in WWE history. The notoriety was nothing to do with the action, matches or results, but instead because the lights went down mid-show due to a thunderstorm.
As a result, Vince McMahon made the decision to present Beware of Dog 2. Taking place two days later, the show consisted of the two matches that were successfully recorded at the original event, followed by three fresh matches recorded live.
The main event of Beware of Dog 2 was a casket match between Goldust and The Undertaker. 'The Bizarre One' and 'The Phenom' made for strange opposition indeed, while the bout itself marked the first time ever that 'Taker had challenged for the Intercontinental Championship on TV.
In a surprising turn of events, Goldust was victorious after Mankind appeared in the casket and dragged Undertaker inside with a Mandible Claw. Goldust retained his IC Title, while 'Taker went full steam ahead into the feud of the summer.
Goldust would only appear in one more PPV main event, as part of the huge ten-man tag at the Canadian Stampede the following year.
