The early nineties were not the best time for WWF and they were struggling to adapt to changing trends and tastes in pop culture. While the period was anchored by legends such as Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart and The Undertaker, its equally remembered for the likes of The Goon, The Mountie and Duke The Dumpster Droese. If WWF were going to survive the Monday Night Wars, they were going to have to create a roster of new stars with a new attitude to cater to what their audience wanted. New faces like Rocky Maivia, The Ringmaster and Hunter Hearst Helmsley would eventually grow to be the mega-stars that the promotion needed. However, main event talent cant carry a company alone, and they needed a strong mid-card to give the roster the depth and variety to put on an entertaining show.
