10 New Directions After WWE Battleground 2016

At this point, this one’s almost a foregone conclusion.

Since returning to TV on Raw last month, Sasha Banks has been on a rampage. She’s already ploughed through Dana Brooke (twice in the space of a week) and after earning the victory in her tag bout at Battleground by forcing Charlotte to tap out, Banks’ next stop has to be the title.

It may not seem like an entirely new direction, given the amount of back and forth between these two in recent weeks, but they've only actually met in singles competition on one occasion since their NXT Women’s Title match at Full Sail 13 months ago.

With Banks now boasting a submission victory over the champ, not to mention the small matter of a Big Four pay-per-view on the horizon, WWE really can’t afford to hold off on this one any longer.

Still, there are four weeks left until SummerSlam’s upon us, so perhaps Banks will have to go through further obstacles before Charlotte grants her a shot. Either way, it’s all but guaranteed that we’ll be seeing a Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte showdown in the not-too-distant future.

So enough of the Dana Brooke, handicap, and tag team nonsense; it's time to push ahead with the eagerly-anticipated Sasha Banks title match.
